CHAARMZ BRIDAL SHOWCASE:

In 2024, Brooke Gordon was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer that tends to grow and spread quickly. She expresses gratitude for the availability of treatment, noting that although it is harsh and long-lasting, advances in HER2 research, along with the tools she teaches, empower her to face this challenge head-on.

As a coach and educator dedicated to empowering women to become confident leaders, Brooke focuses her work on developing inclusive leadership strategies, business acumen, and communication skills to foster sustained change. Her Seasonal Blueprint draws on her extensive experience in problem-solving, change management, and communication. It emphasizes the importance of having clarity on legacy and purpose, offering a practical path for a well-rounded life encompassing career, relationships, and health. She initially created this workbook as a gift for her family, ensuring they could navigate the year with intention. It includes guided tools for reflection and goal-setting to help individuals stay focused and adaptable throughout the year.

All proceeds from the Seasonal Blueprint will be donated to the Juravinski and Wellspring Cancer Centers, which have provided support during her journey. The initiative is nearing 80% of its goal, and Brooke encourages generous participation in this cause. Individuals can support it by purchasing their copy for $37.50, which will come with a personal email from her.

Join the BRIGHT RUN: A Community Spirit Poised to Make a Difference:

As the crisp air of September begins to weave its way through the vibrant hues of early autumn, it beckons a time for gathering, reflection, and collective action. Among the many events spotlighted during this season, one stands out with immense significance—the BRIGHT Run.

This incredible event, powered entirely by volunteers, represents more than just a chance to lace up your running shoes; it is a beacon of hope and support for local breast cancer research. With every step taken and every dollar raised, participants contribute directly to groundbreaking research taking place at the Regional Cancer Centre—Juravinski Cancer Centre and McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. What’s truly remarkable is that every cent raised goes straight to the cause, aided by the generosity of community partners who cover all operational costs. The BRIGHT Run operates without paid employees, firmly driven by a shared mission to combat breast cancer.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 6, when Christie Lake Conservation Area will transform into a festival of spirit and solidarity. From 9 AM to noon, individuals and families will gather to walk, run, or simply stroll along beautifully scenic 1km and 5km routes. This event embraces all ages, stages, and abilities, emphasizing the tone of electricity, energy, and encouragement. It’s a day to celebrate fundraising achievements, honor research advancements, foster friendships, and remember those touched by breast cancer.

Since its inception in 2008, the BRIGHT Run has made a profound impact, supporting 21 vital research projects. Funds raised have helped outfit an ultrasound suite at the renowned CIBC Breast Assessment Centre and have funded the BRIGHT Run Breast Cancer Learning Health System research chair at McMaster University. Most notably, BRIGHT Run has partnered with the Jesin Neuberger Charitable Foundation to introduce the PYNK program—an initiative dedicated to supporting young women facing breast cancer.

Over $6 million has been raised to date, a testament to the community's unwavering commitment even through the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, which saw the adaptation into a successful virtual event.

As we look ahead, the BRIGHT Run is eager to forge meaningful partnerships, and that includes a remarkable opportunity with Chaarmz Bridal. Together, we can amplify our reach and potential to make a difference in women's health and well-being.

This September, join us in our mission. Let’s run, walk, and raise awareness—together, we can illuminate the path to a brighter future in breast cancer research. Your involvement is not just welcomed; it’s necessary. Together, we are stronger, and together, we can make a significant impact!
