KELSEY FARLEY - MISS CHAARMZ INTERNATIONAL 2024-25

By Natalie Messina, Editor-In-Chief, Chaarmz Magazine

Interview with Kelsey Farley - Miss CHAARMZ International 2024-25:

Congratulations on Winning Miss Chaarmz International!

We are thrilled to celebrate your victory at Miss Chaarmz International in New York. Representing our brand and Miss Swimsuit USA, and now gracing the cover of Chaarmz Magazine, you have truly shined. Can you share with us the journey and preparation that led you to this incredible achievement?

KELSEY:

Thank you! I’m incredibly excited. My journey involved a lot of teamwork and dedication. I worked closely with Kal and brought my production team, Meteor Motives, on board to assist with various needs since the competition was in New York and the team was based in Toronto. I helped coordinate the production and ensured everything ran smoothly. Additionally, I choreographed the dance routine for the competition, which required using my personal time, like during dinner breaks at the dance studio, to perfect it. It was a hectic week because I was also preparing for New York Swim Week, walking in shows on Friday and Saturday before heading straight to the contest on Sunday. It was a whirlwind weekend, but worth every moment.

What was the most challenging part of the competition and how did you overcome it?

KELSEY:

The most challenging part was managing everything simultaneously. I had multiple responsibilities and events happening at once, so staying organized and on top of everything was crucial. I couldn’t have done it without my amazing team, who supported me every step of the way.

How do you plan to use this platform and your new title to make an impact in your community or the world at large?

KELSEY:

If given the opportunity to change the world, my focus would be on several key areas that are close to my heart. Foremost among these is my aspiration to establish a feline rescue organization. Having collaborated with esteemed groups like All Fur Love and Animal Birth Control, I have successfully rescued over 50 cats. This experience has underscored the critical need for more resources to help our furry friends find loving homes.

Coming from a lower-income family, I learned early on the importance of hard work and innovation to achieve goals that others might take for granted. My commitment is to ensure that individuals from similar backgrounds have access to the same opportunities as those more financially privileged. Despite the financial challenges, I am grateful for the loving childhood I experienced.

The tragic loss of my closest cousin, Zachary, was a pivotal moment in my life, propelling me onto the path I walk today. Struggling with anxiety and a profound sense of loss, I realized the brevity of life and decided to step out of my comfort zone to pursue my dreams. Through my journey, I hope to inspire others to chase their dreams with the same fervor.

Advocating for individuals with learning disabilities, drawing from my own experiences with dyslexia and ADHD, is another passion of mine. I firmly believe that with hard work, perseverance, and self-belief, anything is achievable. My accomplishments, including being featured in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Glamour, and FWO, and representing renowned designer brands like Puma, Valentino, Honey Burdette, and Members Only, stand as a testament to this belief.

Through my journey, I aim to demonstrate that perseverance and self-belief can lead to incredible achievements. My mission is to help others realize their potential, irrespective of their background or challenges. Winning this crown is a dream come true, and I hope to inspire others with my story.

Can you tell us about any upcoming projects or goals you have set for yourself following this win?

KELSEY:

I am co-producing a fashion show, Motorweek International, and tomorrow we’ll be holding a casting call with my production team for the event in November. I’m also excited about participating in New York Fashion Week, where I already have shows lined up. As an ambassador for brands like Honey Birdette and many others, I look forward to continuing my work with them. Plus, I’m eagerly anticipating the reality TV show “Beyond the Sash” in Mexico. There are many exciting projects on the horizon!

What advice would you give to aspiring contestants who dream of participating in and winning competitions like this?

KELSEY:

Never give up. My first pageant was Miss New Jersey, where I didn’t even make the top 20, which was devastating. But I learned from that experience and kept pushing forward. Now, I’ve won this incredible title. Every experience, whether a win or a setback, helps you grow and become a better person. Keep believing in yourself and keep striving for your dreams.
